Dave is an Iowa native. He met his wife, Jana, while attending Urbandale High School.
Dave and Jana have been married since 1981 and have two adult daughters who also live in Iowa.
Dave and Jana enjoy church activities, boating and spending time outdoors. For 20 years, Dave has organized an annual fishing trip to Canada.
Dave successfully started and sold two businesses. He attributes this success to the core values of integrity, honesty and compassion which were taught to him at a young age by his parents.
